Production Manager – Exlabesa Coimbra

At Exlabesa, we are looking for a Production Manager with a strong focus on people management, capable of leading teams, supporting their development and ensuring production targets are met at our Coimbra site.

Main responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop production teams, fostering commitment, collaboration and accountability.
  • Organise human and production resources to ensure the production plan is achieved.
  • Develop team leaders and middle managers, strengthening their autonomy and leadership skills.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, safety and efficiency indicators.
  • Drive continuous improvement and problem-solving in collaboration with the teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the plant’s various departments to optimise results.

 

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience in positions of responsibility within industrial environments, managing production teams.
  • Native, bilingual or advanced Portuguese proficiency.
  • Experience in team leadership and developing middle managers.
  • Strong organisational, planning and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution and performance management skills.
  • Results-driven mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and safety.
  • Experience in aluminium processing or similar industrial sectors is an advantage.
