Chemical Technician

Your missions:

  • Responsible for the control and monitoring of the physico-chemical parameters of surface treatment baths and associated installations, in order to ensure the conformity of parts before powder coating.
  • Carry out analyses, interpret results within a defined framework, and apply necessary adjustments in strict compliance with established procedures, thereby contributing to process stability, product quality, and compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

 

Your key activities:

Pre-treatment bath management

  • Monitor and adjust physico-chemical parameters (pH, conductivity, temperature, concentrations).
  • Carry out chemical analyses (titrations, assays, specific tests).
  • Prepare and correct chemical solutions according to procedures.
  • Monitor consumption and contribute to optimisation.
  • Ensure traceability of results, actions, and interventions.
  • Work with production to ensure the quality of substrates before coating.

Wastewater treatment plant monitoring

  • Supervise and ensure the proper operation of the treatment plant.
  • Perform water analyses (pH, metals, suspended solids, conductivity, etc.).
  • Adjust treatment processes (neutralisation, flocculation, sedimentation).
  • Ensure compliance with discharge regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date environmental logs and reports.
  • Raise alerts in case of deviations or non-conformities.

Traceability and compliance

  • Record analysis results and actions in tracking systems.
  • Strictly apply quality, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Maintain order, cleanliness, and organisation of the workstation.
  • Report any anomalies or non-conformities.

 

Your profile:

  • Technical qualification (Baccalaureate level or Vocational Training up to Higher National Diploma level) in chemistry, process engineering, surface treatment, or equivalent.
  • Solid knowledge of process chemistry and mastery of chemical analysis techniques (titrations, filtrations, physico-chemical measurements).
  • Able to interpret results and identify simple deviations.
  • Familiar with measurement equipment and strictly compliant with protocols.
  • Recognised for your rigour, reliability, and analytical skills, you enjoy teamwork and cross-department collaboration.
