Production Operator – Grade 2

Your mission:

  • The Grade 2 Production Operator carries out a range of operations by operating automated machinery on a production line.
  • They work in accordance with production requirements, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.

 

Your key resposabilities:

  • Assist with the cutting of profiles.
  • Identify and locate surface finish defects, cutting length issues, and other non-conformities.
  • Place profiles into baskets in accordance with established procedures.
  • Segregate and dispose of non-conforming lengths following the relevant procedures (bundles, packs, skips, etc.).
  • Load the machine with packaging baskets using a hoist.
  • Keep the work area tidy and organised (materials, tools, accessories, etc.).
  • Clean baskets using a compressed air gun.
  • Adjust machine settings according to production order specifications.
  • Check product conformity and complete quality control documentation.
  • Identify, locate and remove appearance and geometric defects.
  • Manage and identify production samples.
  • Record production data on manufacturing documents and within the AS400 system.

 

Your profile :

Full training will be provided if you have experience within a metalworking or metallurgical environment and are a motivated, organised and proactive individual. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently within a team environment and collaborating with different departments.
