We are looking for a Packaging Crane Operator to join our team in Warneton (France). Exlabesa is a global leader in aluminium profile extrusion. YOUR PROFILE

  • Qualified to operate an overhead crane.

  • Skilled in measuring the mechanical hardness of profiles.

  • Attentive to safety instructions and quality standards.

  • Knowledge of products, manufacturing methods, and related packaging standards.

  • Efficient in managing production flows.

  • Rigorous, organised, autonomous, and versatile.

YOUR MISSIONS
The Packaging Crane Operator is responsible for the continuous supply of packaging tables from the ageing ovens.
They organise the flow according to the tables available and the specific packaging requirements.
They use the motorised conveyors of the ageing ovens to unload baskets from the extrusion workshop.
Versatile, they may also be required to replace an employee in a role of the same or lower grade, depending on the needs of the department.

KEY ACTIVITIES

Flow management in packaging

  • Ensure a continuous supply of packaging tables.

  • Organise and coordinate incoming goods for the packaging department.

  • Organise the work of the packaging tables to meet scheduling requirements.

Profile hardness control

  • Carry out hardness tests on profiles and enter the results into the system in accordance with quality department guidelines.

Workplace cleanliness and organisation

  • Ensure empty baskets are cleared from packaging tables.

  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment.

Versatility

  • Be ready to replace colleagues in roles of the same or lower grade across all production departments if required.

  • Train in the use of ageing ovens (start-up, use of conveyors, alarm monitoring).

  • Train in the use of package conveyors.

Equipment

  • Ensure proper use of various equipment such as spreader beams, slings, and handling shackles.

  • Take part in preventive maintenance and report any malfunctions to the relevant departments.
