Electrical Maintenance Technician

Exlabesa is looking for an Electrical Mechanical Technician for its Doncaster site with the following mision:

A Journeyman Electrician repairs and maintains electrical equipment related to manufacturing equipment and circuits installed within our facilities. These include automated production machinery, cranes, lighting, breaker panels, and MCC switchgear.

Main Duties:

  • Perform electrical troubleshooting and repair production machinery.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on electrical systems.
  • Install new equipment and modifiy existing equipment.
  • Repair and replace defective parts.
  • Assist with safety system upgrades of equipment.
  • Work with PLCs, ladder logic and electronic/ electrical drawings.
  • Support the Maintenance Manager in upgrading and maintaining current production equipment and controls.
  • Ensure equipment is operating correctly and communicate effectively with operations team and maintenance to resolve any shortcomings or make modifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance with regular inspections.

Requirements:

  • Must have troubleshooting ability with automated complex machinery.
  • Familiar with Temperature Controllers, PLC’s, HMI’s and Frequency Drives.
  • Must be able to work cohesively in a team environment.
  • Have knowledge of: Principles, methods and equipment used in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, relevant state regulations, codes and ordinances pertaining to work; safety practices, safe work methods and safety regulations.
