Lorquí Health Centre
The Lorquí Health Centre, designed by Ricardo García Baño, features a high-performance building envelope where energy efficiency, indoor comfort and architectural quality work in harmony.
For this project, Bauxita 13 S.L. manufactured and integrated the ESC Exlabesa Solar Control and EXL-55 systems, solutions specifically developed to optimise façade performance and enhance the user experience.
The ESC Exlabesa Solar Control system incorporates 200 mm aluminium louvres for passive solar control, reducing direct solar radiation on the building envelope, minimising thermal loads and improving energy efficiency while maintaining excellent levels of natural daylight. In addition, it adds depth and visual dynamism to the architectural composition of the façade.
Meanwhile, EXL-55 is a thermally broken aluminium casement system that combines high thermal and acoustic insulation performance with clean, refined sightlines. Its design maximises glazed areas, enhancing natural light penetration and strengthening the connection between interior and exterior spaces—an especially important consideration in healthcare buildings.
