CAD Designer & technical support
Main responsibilities
- Technical support to customers and area managers.
- Design profiles and accessories for aluminium windows and doors
Main duties
- General technical support: assisting customers (fabricators, contractors, main contractors, architects) and reps on technical questions and queries taking appropriate action based on their
- Analyse drawings, quantity take-offs and specifications to determine suitable system/solution and competitive pricing for the customers.
- Produce estimations (Logikal), calculations (U values, static etc.) and all the documents requested for the project submission liaising with customers to tailor quotations to their requirements
- Update technical and fabrication manuals & documentation
- Design new aluminium profiles and improve existing ones based on feedback provided by customers & reps
- Produce die drawings and seeing it through all design stages cooperating with die shop manager to make sure the feasibility of the new profile
- Take part of product testing projects (Performance, Weather, Security etc.)
- Collaborate with marketing to produce all sales literature and prepare product launching.
- Reporting to Technical Director and update project status on a weekly basis.
Skills / Knowledge
- Proficient level using AutoCAD
- Fully computer literate
- Able to interpret and produce engineering & architectural
- Ability to work under pressure and explain design ideas
- Thinking both creatively and logically to resolve design and development
